He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugo Muhs and Lorena Muhs (Pauls); and his brother Donald Muhs. He is survived by: his wife Millie Mae Huffman; his children, Debbie McDonald (Dan) of Tipton, Katie Soukup (Chad) of Alburnett and Nathan Muhs (Ellisa) of Osage, Iowa; his grandchildren, Ace McDonald, Grant, Gavin Soukup, Haley, Ashley, Olivia and Kason Muhs; his brothers, Marvin Muhs of Lowden, Robert Muhs of Lowden, Bill Muhs of Lowden, Allen Muhs (Joan) of Grand Meadow and Jon Muhs (Barb) of Lowden; and his sister-in-law Janet Muhs of Iowa City. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials in Wilbert's memory may be directed to the family to be distributed at a later date.
