We are sad to announce that on December 22, 2023, at the age of 81, Richard Schmidt of Alburnett, Iowa, born in Mandan, North Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Schmidt and Ella Schmidt (Popelka); and his siblings, Gary Schmidt, Donald Schmidt and Edna Kottsick (Eugene).
He is survived by: his wife Cindy Petersen; his daughters, Brandy Pabst and Tami Runyon (George); his grandchildren, Kylie Pabst, Courtney McMillan (Monty) and Tristan Runyon (Natalie); his great grandchildren, Gavin, Emory and Anya; his sister Delores Ternes; his sister-in-law Cheryllyn Schmidt; and his pet Sophie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
