She was predeceased by: her parents, Parkie Walkner and Mary Walkner; her husband Curtis Schantz; her parents-in-law, Saloma and Lewis Schantz; and her siblings, Dorothy Lazenby, Jerry Walkner, Butch Walkner (Allen), Oliver Walkner, George, Harry and Margie Walkner.
She is survived by: her children, Matthew Schantz (Sherry), Heidi Ryan (Tracey) and Holly Ervin (Greg); her grandchildren, Zach Christensen, Ben, Emmie Schantz, Eli and Saul Ervin; and her sisters, Evelyn Carver and Rosie Lockhart.
Jane donated her body to the University of Iowa's Deeded Body Donor Program.
