He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Dale and Nelevene Houts (Wilkinson); and his brother Loren Houts. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Houts of Alburnett; his children, Deb Crennen (Tom) of Denver, Donna Houts of Marion, Laura Hirl (Darin) of Norwalk and Brett Houts (Heidi); his grandchildren, Matthew Crennen, Zachary Crennen, Tyler Hirl (Abby), Kallie Hirl and Avery Houts; his brother Roger Houts (Dianne) of Sand Point, Idaho; and his aunt Dorlea Bowne of Fort Collins, Colorado. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials in Jerry's memory may be directed to the family to be designated later.
