She was predeceased by: her parents, Don Ellis and Thelma Ellis; her husband Richard "Dingus" Schmidt; her sisters, Sandra Fraiser and Becky Hewitt; and her sister-in-law Joyce Petersen.

She is survived by: her daughter Brandy Pabst; her granddaughter Kylie Pabst; her siblings, Larry Petersen, Scott Ellis (Marty), Lynette Fuller (Cris) and Sherri Wesbrook (Duane); and her nephew Cody Hewitt. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
