Smith of Alburnett, Iowa, born in Central City, Iowa, who passed away on October 31, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Smith and Gertrude Smith (Smith); and his siblings, Norma Knapp, Don, Aubrey, Wayne, Lowell, Cledith, Fay Smith and Fern Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Tritle; his children, Teresa Philipp (David) of Alburnett, Gregg Smith (Cindi) of Marion, Steven Smith (CeCe) of Chanhassen and Rick Smith of Alburnett; his grandchildren, Kristin Stein (Dave), Kevin Miller (Courtlin), Alec Philipp (Kendra), Joey Philipp (Hanna Severson), Erica Smith, Brenton Smith (Chrissy), Andrew Smith, Nicholaus Smith (Julia), Cayla Smith, Elise Smith, Nicole Smith, Luke Smith and Ryan Smith; his great grandchildren, Braydon, Brooklynn, Hailey, Carter, Mireya, Keelan and Calvin; and his siblings, Clellen "Pete" Smith (Florence) of Olin, Iowa and Hilda Martin of Alburnett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
