He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Cavanaugh (Nelson) and Chauncy Cavanaugh; and his siblings, Paul, Richard Thomas, Dorothy Sutherland, Sherry Lloyd and Patricia Hanagan (Patty).
He is survived by: his siblings, Maryls Keeler of Cedar Falls, IA, Margaret Vannatta of Bella Vista, AR, Robert Thomas of Iowa City, IA and Marvin Thomas of Loveland, CO; and his close friends, Frank Davenport of Albion, IA and Jim Davenport of Waynesville, MO. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens (602 Iowa Ave E, Marshalltown, IA 50158).
