She is survived by: her children, Anita Cherry, Howard Cherry (Tammy), Tommie Beck (Wayne) and Kim Harrison (Joe); her grandchildren, Kevin Henderson (Shannon), Matt Henderson, David Girard (Sunny) and Crystal Gilmore (Ryan); and her great grandchildren, Jade, Kayden, Charlie, Lucy Henderson, Lyndie Gilmore, Gabby, Grace Girard and Adam Arredondo. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.
A memorial has been established to the Welcome Home Soldier Memorial in Albia.
