He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Vicq and Mabel Dean (Snowbarger); his wife Betty; his son Ralph Dean; and his son-in-law Wayne Glenn.

He is survived by: his daughter Linda Glenn; his grandchildren, Brian Glenn (Julie), Tom Dean, Ralph Dean, Lisa Crow (Dan) and Kristi Beebe (Steve); and his siblings, Vernon Dean (Sally), Joyce Reynolds, Joan Webster and Dorothy Sterritt. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
