It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susie Schippers (Albia, Iowa), born in Hamilton, Iowa, who passed away on January 21, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Courtney and Alice Courtney (Fowler); her husband Orvel Schippers; her sons, Orvel Dean and Rod Schippers; and her granddaughter Caitlin Schippers.
She is survived by: her children, Alice Ann Nace (Gary) of Bussey, John Schippers (Cindy) of Tracy, Wes Schippers (Johnna) of Oskaloosa, Marv Schippers (Chris) of Oskaloosa and Dale Schippers (Holly) of Bussey. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Union Liberty Church in Bussey or the Welcome Home Soldier Monument in Albia.
