He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Dykstra and Ellsie Dykstra (Gray); his wife Dolores Bailey; and his sisters, Viola and Maxine.

He is survived by: his brothers-in-law, Keith Bailey (Connie) of Bussey and David Bailey (Judy) of Bussey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
