She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Ray and Marie Smith (Anderson); her son Michael; and her brother Bill. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Ross Rekemeyer of Paul's United Methodist Church; her children, Daniel Rekemeyer (Natalie) and DeAnn McAninch (Shawn); her grandchildren, RaeAnna, William (Jacinta), Jordan, Connor and Erin; her siblings, Joseph Smith, Wanda Moller, Lowell Smith and Hallie Dessel; and her sisters-in-law, Anne Smith and Susie Hillman.
A memorial has been established to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
