He was predeceased by: his father James Edward McGee; his siblings, Jim McGee, Tim McGee and Carol Genereux; and his grandparents, Bill McGee, Clara McGee and Verna O'Hara.
He is survived by: his wife Julie McGee of Albia; his daughter Austin Zwicki of Des Moines; his mother Patty McGee of Albia; his siblings, Pat McGee (Bette) of Fort Wayne, IN and Jean Henderson (Bob) of Albia; and his nieces and nephews, Aaron, Nicole, David, Daniel, Katie, Emma, Hannah, Zach, Kinsley, Presley, Hadley, Nora and Liam.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Albia's First Responders (Police, Fire, Emergency).
