She was predeceased by: her parents, Orval Stephens and Margaret Stephens (See); and her stepfather Dow Rogers. She is survived by: her husband Roger Gene Behrens; her children, Shelia Leonard and Kevin Behrens (Paula); her grandchildren, Ashlynn Leonard, Shawn Leonard, Randall Behrens, Kodi Behrens, Taylor Gentry, Sarah Burman, Kyle Behrens, Jenny Spiewak, Joseph DeAngelis, Timothy DeAngelis, Jessica Skarin and Aaron DeAngelis; and her siblings, George Stephens (Marsha Driskell), Ray Stephens (Carol), Kay Miller (Frank), Lee Stephens (Chris) and Judy Dunkin (Kevin). She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
Memorials have been established to the Welcome Home Soldier Memorial in Albia and the American Cancer Society.
