He was predeceased by: his mother Wilma Susie Harkins (Summers); his wife Elizabeth Ileen Baxter; his father Harvey Harkins; his stepdaughters, Ginger Moffet and Pam Turner; his aunt LaVonia; his grandson Jason Huddleston; his great grandchild Neomyiah Fortner; his parents-in-law, Clifford and Ruth Baxter; his sister-in-law Karen Fleagle; and his niece Martha.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Sally Moffet of Des Moines, IA and Randy Moffet of Kansas City, MO; his grandchildren, Kellie Enderson (Justin) of Huxley, IA, Jeff Turner (Kim) of Weatherford, TX, Stephanie Moffet of Ottumwa, IA, Allison Turner (Joel) of Elk Horn, IA, Jennifer Meunier of Wisconsin and Patrick Turner (Amber) of Leighton, IA; his uncle Ernie Harkins; his aunt Mary Bell; and his sisters-in-law, Sue Harkins (Gene) and MaryEtta Harkins (Harv Jr.). He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
According to the rules put in place by the Iowa Department of Public Health, proper social distancing and reasonable personal protective equipment is advised for attending a religious public event.
A memorial has been established to the Lighthouse Church of the Nazarene in Moravia, Iowa.
