He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sr. Nucko and Marjorie Nucko (Phillips); his wife Sharon Stephens; and his brothers-in-law, Junior Hugen, Phil Boehnke and Roger Stephens.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Sharon Stuchel; his children, Dave Thomas (Kathy), Debbie Mickles (Jerry), Rhonda McGee and Zane McGee; and his siblings, Pat Angran (Joe), Sharon Boehnke, Eleanor Hatfield (Richard) and Barb Lovstuen (Kenny). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.
A memorial has been established to the Welcome Home Soldier Monument in Albia.
