He is survived by: his parent Sydney "Blackie" McCombs; his wife Marlene McCombs; his grandchildren, Josh, Kenny McCombs and Crystal McCombs (Matt Wilt); his great grandchildren, Mitchell, Katelin Vaughn, Wyatt and Johnathan Wilt; his siblings, Ruth Larson, Lucille Volkamer and Ronnie McCombs; his sons, Jim and Mark McCombs; his mother Anna McCombs (Sereg); and his siblings, Dorothy Shaw, Gertrude Ahn and Bob McCombs. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established to the Heartland Humane Society in Ottumwa.
