She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Parker and Gail Parker (Clendenon); and her brother-in-law Loren Carter. She is survived by: her husband Larry Merrill Jr. of Albia; her children, Chad Spaur (Shelly) of Oskaloosa, IA, Sarah Finger (Bubba) of Slinger, WI, Quinn Kinman (Alex) of Nevada, IA, Larry Merrill III of Lebanon, KY and Megan Merrill of Albia; her grandchildren, Kyrsten, Kiera, Darian, Gavin, Taelyn, Sydney, Endellion, Preston, Zachary and Scarlett; her great grandchildren, Braelynn and Raelee; and her sisters, Sheryl Carter of Sully, IA and Sherry Carter (Robert) of Steamboat Springs, CO.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the ALS Association.
