We are sad to announce that on September 12, 2022, at the age of 96, Gwen Chance Shepard of Albia, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Lemaster and Flossie Hamilton; her husband Sam Shepard; her brothers, Daryl, Vernon, Verlin and Dale; her son-in-law Charles Robb; and her stepson Kenneth Shepard.
She is survived by: her sister Marlene Oulman (Ray) of Excelsior Springs, MO; her children, Sharon Robb of Des Moines and Steve Chance (Carol Emal) of Lovilia; her grandchildren, Lisa Cox (Jeff) of Albia, Matt Chance (Kim) of Curryville, MO, Mitch (Stefanie Schwartz) of Ottumwa, Mason, Jaylon, Blake, Drew, Gage, Ben and Brock; her stepdaughters, Elaine James (Dean), Delores Matthews (Ron), Martha Van Sickel (Robert) and Lela Griffin (Steve); and her daughter-in-law Helen Shepard.
An open memorial has been established to be determined at a later date.
