He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Murphy and Geraldine "Gerry" Murphy (Mitchell); and his sisters, Gerry Jo Murphy and Judy Alexander. He is survived by: his wife Susan Murphy; his children, Michelle Weldon (Doug), Mike Gray (Carrie) and Monica Tharp (Richard); his grandchildren, Sydney (Zakk), Hunter (Ivy), Garrett (Nicole) and Cooper; his great grandchild Taysom; his sister Susan Ammons (Alan); and his brother-in-law Doug Alexander. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.
