He was predeceased by: his parents, Rayburn Burton and Lucile Velma Pence (Pilcher); his siblings, Donna Dunlavy and Dennis Pence; and his sister-in-law Debbie Pence.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Joyce Pence of Albia; his sons, Loren Pence (Salli) of Albia and Chad Pence (Crissy) of Kalona; his grandchildren, Jackson, Grace, Carson, Ava, Taylor and Raegan; his sister Sheryl Davis (Ken) of Oskaloosa; and his brother-in-law Dick Dunlavy of Texas.
Memorials may be directed to the Bloomfield Christian Church, I.O.O.F Cemetery Foundation or the Welcome Home Soldier Monument.
