David Allan McCombs Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Allan McCombs of Albia, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 3, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd DeWayne and May E. McCombs (Jones); his in-laws, Molly McCombs Virginia Thatcher (Tom), Dennis Kaiser, Colleen Kaiser and Rick Kaiser; and his pet Happy.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Jean Oye of Paul's Lutheran Church; his sons, Andrew McCombs (Gina) and Martin McCombs (Kiran); his grandchildren, Satviki, Kylie and Garret; his brother DeWayne "Ivan" McCombs; and his in-laws, Judy Franzmier (Merle), Wanda Kaiser, Leeta Sanger (Scott), Leo Oye, Bob Kaiser (Val), Randy Kaiser, Lorraine Kaiser and Linda Watts. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, his nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of good friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (335 N 8th St, Albia, IA 52531). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
A memorial has been established to Heartland Humane Society in Ottumwa, IA.
