Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Carolyn Ann Wilson (Albia, Iowa), who passed away at the age of 86, on September 26, 2020. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Swift and Freda Swift (Dicks); her husband Duane Wilson; her sister Thelma Long (Clair); and her nephew Jeff Long.

She is survived by: her sons, Mark Duane Wilson (Connie) of Ottumwa and Kevin Lee Wilson (Angela) of Albia; her grandchildren, Josh Wilson (Nicole), Eric Wilson (Twyla Wilkerson), Chelsea Bachman (Kyle), Ashley Tratchel and Jeffrey Tratchel; and her great grandchildren, Quinn, Jordyn Wilson, Mark and Luke Bachman.

According to the rules put in place by the Iowa Department of Public Health, proper social distancing and reasonable personal protective equipment is advised for attending a religious public event.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Monroe County Fair Board.

“I will never forget Carolyn! I was about 6 years old (many decades ago) and she and Duane were our neighbors. I remember going to her house with my mom and sister to help her butcher chickens (yuk!), but every other time was very enjoyable, mainly because she spoiled me and my sister Beth! I don't ever remember her beating around the bush about anything, and you always knew where you stood with her! She taught me a lot with that! I'll always remember her with a smile.”
