With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol Pence of Albia, Iowa, born in Bloomfield, Iowa, who passed away on September 17, 2020 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Levi Chadwick and Ruth Chadwick (Christy); her husband Doran Pence; her siblings, Martin Chadwick (Sybil), Doris Spurgeon (Harvey), Carl Chadwick, MaryLee Lyons (Dillon), Alice Harder (Wes), Bob Chadwick (Peggy), John Chadwick, Jean Koehler (Harry), Judy and Jeanette Chadwick; and her siblings-in-law, Donna Dunlavy and Dennis Pence (Debbie).
She is survived by: her sons, Loren Pence (Salli) of Albia and Chad Pence (Crissy) of Kalona; her grandchildren, Jackson, Grace, Carson, Ava, Taylor and Raegan; her sister Joann Hunter of Seymour; and her siblings-in-law, Dick Dunlavy of Texas, Sheryl Davis (Ken) of Oskaloosa and Laneta Chadwick of St. Louis. She is also survived by 106 family members celebrating Grandpa and Grandma.
According to the rules put in place by the Iowa Department of Public Health, proper social distancing and reasonable personal protective equipment is advised for attending a religious public event.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Bloomfield Christian Church or the I.O.O.F Cemetery Foundation.
