He is survived by: his former wife Mary Ann "Molly" Gilbert; his wife Kathy Johnson; his caregiver Kathy Thompson of Albia; his children, Robbie Thompson (Leslie), Tammy Jacobs of Jessup, GA, Bion Thompson Jr. of Norwalk, IA, Alicia Johnson of Fairfield, IA, Chrissy Stringfellow (Chad) of Palm Harbor, FL and Susan Krahenbuhl of Ankeny, IA; his brothers, Darrell Thompson (Kathy) of Hedrick, IA and Benji Thompson (Betty) of Avery, IA; and his half-sister Glenda Farrier (Steve) of Atlantic, IA.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.
