She was predeceased by: her fathers, Hugh Gray and Louie Scott Gray; her husband Ivan D. Shelquist; her parents-in-law, Harry and Mary Shelquist; her siblings-in-law, George Shelquist, Harry Jr. Shelquist, Richard Shelquist, Carl Shelquist, Paul Shelquist and Edna Shelquist Robinson; and her son-in-law Jimmie Rowley.
She is survived by: her children, David Lee of Moravia, Galin Dean of Albia and Marilyn Louise of Hot Springs; her grandchildren, Tyler Shelquist (Kourtni) of Oskaloosa, Bobby Shelquist of Albia and Molly Mullen (Andy) of Mystic; her stepgrandson Christian Rowley of Chicago; her great grandchildren, Jace, Grady, Hattie of Oskaloosa, Gracie of Albia, Callen and Freya; her stepgreat-grandsons, Mikk and Zakk of Chicago; and her sisters, Joann Ahn and Donna Kromray of Albia. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial has been established to Trinity United Methodist Church in Albia or to Joy Community Fellowship in Hot Springs, South Dakota.
