She was predeceased by: her parents, Ella Carolyn Hofstadter (Frese) and Richard Hofstadter; her sisters, Carolyn Miller and Susan Johnson; and her brothers-in-law, Lee Baruth and Jim Johnson.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Baruth; her children, Cathy Baruth (Lon Pluckhahn), Stephanie Salman (Eric), Jen Keeler (Bert) and Will Baruth; her godson Lonn Kammeyer (Hallie); and her siblings, Michael Hofstadter (Carol), Tom Hofstadter (Janice), Mary Kammeyer (Lon), Laurie Payne (Dean), John Hofstadter (Carol) and Paul Hofstadter (Maura). She is also survived by many nieces & nephews, several great nieces & nephews, cousins, and so many wonderful friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Tharp Funeral Home (116 Benton Ave E, Albia, IA 52531). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the First Christian Church (203 Washington Ave E, Albia, IA 52531).
