He is survived by: his son Tim; his friend Darlene Onken; his sons, Randy (Carol) of Albert City, Brad (Deanna) of Albert City and Gary (Traci) of Laurens; his grandchildren, Melissa Van Genderen (Travis), Cassidy Hatland (Travis), Laura Kestel (Matt), Jake Heuton (Alicia), Tyler Heuton (Stephanie), Shelby Stafford (Matt), Dallas Heuton (Erin), Caitlyn Marlow (Eli), Bailey Heuton and Morgan Heuton; his great grandchildren, Sam, Finley, Clara, Eli Van Genderen, Addison, Aiden Hatland, Cole, Will, Ben, Ty, Eva Kestel, Chase, Kade, Tyce Heuton, Quinn, Joss Heuton, Madison and Emery Stafford; his sisters, Viona Gute (Frank) of Carroll and Verna Craig of Muscatine, Iowa; and his sister-in-law Violet Boell of Carroll. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
