He was predeceased by: his parents, Gunnard Johnson and Carrie Johnson (Aspholm); his wife Marjorie Mae Pierson; his sons, Howard and Jeffrey; his daughter-in-law Lisa; and his siblings, William, Roy, George Johnson and Dorothy Laughlin.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Johnson (Karen) of Albert City, Iowa, Gail Johnson of Albert City, Iowa and Tom Johnson (Terry) of Pella, Iowa; his grandchildren, Jeff Johnson (Sarah), Joe Johnson (Angie), Jennifer Karlen (Trey), Alison Emery (Jeff), Lexanne Clapp (Mark), Kyle Johnson (Cristina), Michelle Lower (Matt) and Susan Dickinson (Michael); and his great grandchildren, Kaylee, Kassie, Dorrian, Damian, Devon Johnson, Micah, Eli, David Johnson, Victoria and Mitchell Emery. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Masks and social distancing are required for guests in attendance at the service.
