She was predeceased by: her parents, Gomer Lenton and Irma Lenton; her husband Richard Philips; her brother Keith; her sister-in-law Kathleen Lenton; and her granddaughter Ashley Philips.
She is survived by: her children, Valerie Philips (Randy Elam) of Wichita, KS, Vance Philips (Vickie) of Odessa, Greta Ford (Tom) of Key West and Matthew Philips (Laura) of Decatur, IL; her grandchildren, Austin, Peter, Maggie, Grant, Stephanie, Caitlin, Alex, Alyssa and Kelly; her great grandchildren, Isaac, Coralin, Quinn and Crew; and her sister-in-law Margaret Talbot of Hawarden. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred in her name to the Akron Opera House Restoration Project.
