He was predeceased by: his father Richard Hughes; his stepfather Gary Terrell; and his grandparents, Glen, Bernadine Hughes, Herbert and Hilda Boettger.
He is survived by: his wife Melissa Rabey of Akron; his children, Travis Hughes of Akron, Bryse, Everlee and Jessica Hughes of Merrill; his grandchildren, Hayden and Mason; his children, Zachary Hughes of Akron, Iowa and Andrea Hughes of Akron, Iowa; his mother Donna Terrell (Boettger) of Merrill, Iowa; and his siblings, David Hughes (Michelle) of Oyens, Allen Hughes of Merrill, Christopher Hughes (Cindy) of Westfield and Susan Kaster (Eric) of George, Iowa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family present with social distancing will be from 2:00 p. m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
