She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Dirks and Roberta Dirks (Pollock); her husband Sam Philips; her sister Judy; her brother-in-law Larry Boe; and her nephew David Pauling.
She is survived by: her children, John (Kerry) of Woodbury, MN, Ann (Eric) of Van Horne, IA and Mark (LeAnne) of Akron; her sisters, Deanna Boe and Sharon Pauling (Dennis); and her sister-in-law Margaret Talbott. She is also survived by nine grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Nadine's name to the Akron Opera House Restoration Project.
