Nadine Ann (Dirks) Philips Obituary
In loving memory of Nadine Ann (Dirks) Philips of Akron, Iowa, who departed this world on December 7, 2024 at the age of 86. Nadine leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Dirks and Roberta Dirks (Pollock); her husband Sam Philips; her sister Judy; her brother-in-law Larry Boe; and her nephew David Pauling.
She is survived by: her children, John (Kerry) of Woodbury, MN, Ann (Eric) of Van Horne, IA and Mark (LeAnne) of Akron; her sisters, Deanna Boe and Sharon Pauling (Dennis); and her sister-in-law Margaret Talbott. She is also survived by nine grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 9:00 AM. A prayer was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 7:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (251 Main St, Akron, IA 51001). A burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Riverside Cemetery. A reception was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (251 Main St, Akron, IA 51001).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Nadine's name to the Akron Opera House Restoration Project.
