He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Wales and Mabel Wales (Edinger); his wife Ruth Mary Kock; and his siblings, Ila Josephs, Leonard and Willard.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Wales (Nancy) of Rochester, MN and Nancy Appley (Kurt) of Akron, IA; his sister Letha Brinkman; his grandchildren, Jen Siemering (Chad), Jayne Balicky (Thomas), Joe Appley, Alicia Wales and Marissa Wales; and his great grandchildren, Merrick Siemering, Claire Balicky, Cameron Balicky and Emery Siemering. He is also survived by sisters and brothers; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
