Jerry Ryan Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry Ryan of Akron, Iowa, born in Yankton, South Dakota, who passed away on December 10, 2020 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ryan and Mildred Ryan (Goeden); his parents-in-law, Hans and Wilma Schuppel; and his brother Joseph Ryan.
He is survived by: his wife Christa; his daughters, Carol Ryan of Sioux City and Angela Miller of Akron, Iowa; his grandchildren, Jordan Ryan of Odenton, Cassandra Miller of Akron, Iowa and Samuel Miller of Akron, Iowa; his siblings, Georgeann Silvernail (Art) of Deadwood, SD, Kay Henrich (Jim) of Akron, IA, Michael Ryan (Susan) of Spearfish, SD, Connie Foxhoven (Gary) of Bennington, KS, Charles Ryan (Carol) of Yankton, SD and Jenny Gross (LeRoy) of Rapid City, SD; and his siblings-in-law, Doris Filsinger (Fritz) of Leimen and Wolfgang Schuppel (Roswetta) of Boblingen, Germany. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
Funeral Services will be private. Visitation with no family present, masks and social distancing required, and limited to 15 people at a time will be from 11:00 a. m. until noon on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Akron.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
