It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James John Loutsch (Akron, Iowa), born in Remsen, Iowa, who passed away on May 18, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Loutsch and Clara Loutsch (Pletschette); his son Daniel Loutsch; his siblings, Arnold, Nick Loutsch and Elaine; and his brother-in-law Robert Vannatta.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Schilling of Akron; his children, Steve Loutsch (Shirley), Diane Connelly, Frank Loutsch (Terry) and Nancy McKinley (Tim Shakespeare); his siblings, Mary Marsh of LeMars, IA, Carol Schmitz of Sioux City, IA, Marvin Loutsch (Joan) of LeMars, IA and Marlene Pinney (LeRoy) of Sioux City, IA; and his sister-in-law Dolores Vannatta of Cherokee, IA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service, following COVID-19 restrictions will be 2p. m. Thursday, May 21, 2020 at St. Mary's Cemetery in Remsen, IA, with Father William McCarthy officiating.
