With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Comfort (Engesmoe) Moffatt of Akron, Iowa, born in Hendricks, Minnesota, who passed away on January 19, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Engesmoe and Hilda Engesmoe (Nordaune); her husband Harold Moffatt; her siblings, Gelina Olson (Orris), Hank Engesmoe (Ruth), Cliff Engesmoe (Irene), Opal Benson (Chester) and Pearl Weenink (Ron); her in-laws, Helen Engesmoe and Kenny Sommervold; and her great grandchild Brittany Joslin.
She is survived by: her children, Dianna Ellerbroek (Mark) of Ely, MN, Larry Moffatt (Diane) of Akron, IA, Karen Joslin (Ron) of Fordyce, NE and Gary Moffatt (Toshia) of Hawarden, IA; and her siblings, Joe Engesmoe of Hendricks, MN and Marcy Sommervold of Hendricks, MN. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren.
