It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerd Ludwigs of Akron, Iowa, who passed away on April 7, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis Ann Clarey; his daughter Pam Beazley; and his siblings, John Ludwigs, George Ludwigs (Irene), Hilbert Ludwigs (Evelyn), Zelma McCune (Paul) and Kate Gellerman (Henry).
He is survived by: his daughters, Jeannie Frerichs (Roger) of Akron, IA and Vicky Hohlbaugh (John) of Independence, MO; his son-in-law Jerry Beazley of Cherokee, IA; his grandchildren, Aaron Frerichs (Dannye) of Eugene, OR, Dr. Leah Frerichs (Sarah) of Carrboro, NC, Chrissy Overmohle (Jason) of Hospers, IA, Trent Beazley (Nichole) of Ankeny, IA, Laura Hohlbaugh of Independence, MO and Amy Wiatt (Jacob) of Wentzville, MO; and his sister-in-law Lois Clarey of Akron, IA. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
