He is survived by: his son Ryan Lias (Shannon); his stepchildren, Heather Johnson (Gordy) of Akron, IA, David Christensen (Lorri) of Branson, MO, Kathy Brouillette (Andy) of Salix, IA and Rob Von Hagel (Angela) of Le Mars, IA; his grandchildren, Cole Lias (Hollyn), Jacob Brouillette (Morgan), Lucas Brouillette (Alexis), Adam Brouillette (Corol Hernandez), Emily Brouillette, Dustin Richards, Tyler Morrison (Hannah), Tyler Johnson (Hannah), Ashley Scott (Brian), Sam Davis (Cody), Conner Von Hagel, Emily Von Hagel and Heather Von Hagel; his great grandchildren, Victoria Johnson, Morgan Johnson, Carter Davis, Halle Brouillette and Joelle Morrison; his siblings, Denny Lias (Julie) of Arnolds Park, IA and Deb Ramon (Ray) of Mason City, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Fran Johnson (Al) of Englewood, CO and Leroy Sand (Sharon) of Cottonwood, AZ. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 12:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Rexwinkel Funeral Home - Akron (601 Torbert Blvd, Akron, IA 51001). A burial was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Riverside Cemetery. A reception was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Rexwinkel Funeral Home - Akron (601 Torbert Blvd, Akron, IA 51001).
