He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene and Vera; his parents-in-law, Alfred and Florence Husmann (Whiting); and his brother Robert Bowman.
He is survived by: his wife Karen M. Husmann; his son Nathan Bowman of Indianola, IA; his siblings, Judy Degan (Gary) of Ellendale, MN and William Bowman (Sue) of Ellendale, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Ann Bowman of Ellendale, MN, David Husmann (Linda) and June Heggedahl (Mark). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
