He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Ann; his parents, Charles Waag and Mina Waag; his brother Raymond A. (Shirley P. Waag); his parents-in-law, J. Ingvald and Eleanor Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Paul D. Johnson (Faye), Clifford E. Haines, Neva (Victor "Bill" Gardner), Evonne Bancroft and Elaine Johnson.
He is survived by: his uncle Helmer; his children, Lynette A. Kiger (James) and Kenneth R. Waag; his granddaughter Kirsten V. Simon; his brother Donald L. Waag of Akron; and his siblings-in-law, Esther Haines of Elk Point, SD, Otto Johnson (Pat) of Boston, NY and David Johnson (Pattie) of McCook Lake, SD..
