It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Kiewel (Akron, Iowa), who passed away on March 14, 2018, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Christopher Kiewel, Nathan Kiewel, Shawn Kiewel, Brenda Dittrich, Matthew Larsen, Rachel Szybnski, Patricia Kiewel, Claire Rohweder, Suzanne Thompson, Jennifer Swanson, Eryn Smith and Celeste Grimm; her parents, Ralph Shaykett and Clara Shaykett; her brother Ralph of Whitewood, SD; her sister-in-law Loraine Kiewel of Akron, IA; her children, Larry Kiewel (Marcia) of Belle Plaine, Harold Kiewel (Patricia) of San Diego, CA, Russell Kiewel of Stewart, MN, Martin Kiewel (Doreen) of Birmingham, AL, Karen Seaver (Gail) of Lindstrom, MN, Marge Larsen (Joel) of New Prague, MN and Carsten Skude; her husband Robert; her siblings, Margaret Truman (Maurice), Minor Shaykett (Wauneta), Dorine Gaver (Earl), Alice Shaykett, Bill Shaykett (Mildred), Edna Kuether (Mel) and Chuck Shaykett (Dorothy); her daughters-in-law, Julie, Elizabeth and Beverly; and also Dakota. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
