She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Kulvik and Rosabel Kulvik (Lewison); her husband Vernon Kjose; her stepmother Eva Kulvik (Kissinger); her foster parents, Oliver Groethe and Avyce Groethe; and her siblings, Ronald Kulvik (Wilma), Hubert Kulvik (Lorraine), Vernon Kulvik, RueAdene Hovland (Rueben) and Lorraine Egly (Albert).
She is survived by: her children, Karlene Steen of Onawa, IA, Maxine Siemers (Wayne) of Alcester, SD, Randall Kjose (Kimberly) of Oak Grove, MO, Marcelene 'Marcy' Hoffman (Ron) of Westfield, IA and Selene Van Wyk (Johnny) of Alcester, SD. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and extended relatives.
