He is survived by: his sons, James "Jim" Covington (Patty) and Jeffrey Covington; his grandchildren, Colton Covington (MacKenzie), Samantha Muller (Nick) and Garrett Covington; his great grandchildren, Parker Covington and Casey Muller; and his brother-in-law Darrell Ealy.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service- Oxford Chapel (132 E Main St, Oxford, IA 52322). A memorial service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his memory.
