He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald C. Simmering and Edith Simmering (Miller); and his brother Larry Simmering. He is survived by: his former spouse Jody Lynn Brown; his son Edward John Simmering, II of Bluegrass, IA; and his brothers, Ron Simmering of Bettendorf, IA and Don Simmering (Cindy) of Ainsworth, IA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
