He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth McVey (Miller) and Wilford Pearson McVey of Ottumwa; and his sister Janet Sue Christy. He is survived by: his wife Nancy McVey (Walls); his children, Melinda McCluskey (Scot) of Clear Lake and Michael McVey (Tracy) of Wellman; and his grandchildren, Kelsey McVey (Jon Mohler) of Iowa City, Daniel McVey (Madison Heard) of Denver, Spencer McVey of Wellman and Anna McCluskey of Clear Lake, Iowa..
