He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Glenn Hayes and Helen Genevieve Hayes (Miller); his sister Anita Thomas (Dale); his parents-in-law, Sherman and Erma Braman; his siblings-in-law, Richard Braman, William Gephart, Linda Hayes and Judy Hayes; his nieces, Mary Catherine Buckholtz and Michelle Baker; and his nephew Shane Hayes.
He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Melissa Butler (Jason) of Cromwell, Ryan Hayes of Afton, Jacob Hayes (Debbie) of Afton and Andrew Hayes of Afton; his grandchildren, Chase Butler, Damon Hayes, Sherman Hayes, Madeline Hayes, Joseph Hayes, Silas Hayes and Willa Hayes; and his siblings, David Hayes of San Diego, Mark Hayes (Carol) of Creston, James Hayes (Virginia) of Creston, Jacquelyn Gephart of San Diego, Elizabeth Baker (Richard) of Creston and Mary Lynn Beemer (Arlin) of Mason City.
Masks are recommended and social distancing will be observed.
