It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Randy Goerndt of Afton, Iowa, who passed away on January 3, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Ralph Goerndt. He is survived by: his mother Phyllis Goerndt of Des Moines; his wife Deb; his brothers, David of Eager, AZ and Kyle (Lori) of Gilbert, AZ; his nephews, Chad and Jason; his son Jeff (Stefani) of Ankeny; his grandchildren, Connor, McKenna Eller (Joseph), Carson and Collin; his son Michael (Angela) of Pleasant Hope, MO; and his pet Milo.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Afton United Methodist Church (111 S Douglas St, Afton, IA 50830). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
