He is survived by: his wife Regina Margaret Weis of Afton; his children, Tony, Doug, Deb, Randy, Sherri, Steve and David Pettit (Sherry) of Afton; his grandchildren, Brenda, Brandon, Blake and Tyler; his son Douglas Pettit (Georgia) of Afton; his grandchildren, Allison and Erin; his daughter Deborah Weaver-Ripperger (Eric) of Afton; his grandchildren, Kyle, Cory, Morgan, Trenton and Breanna; his son James Pettit of Afton; his grandchildren, Casey and Carissa; his son Randall Pettit (Jan) of Afton; his grandchildren, Alex and Sara; his daughter Sharon Cooney (Randall) of Pleasant Hill; his grandchildren, Dakota and Spencer; his son Richard Pettit (Jodie) of Audubon; his siblings, Lois Weis (Fritz) of Afton, Linda Hanrahan of Prole, LaDonna Short (Mike) of Creston and Lowell Pettit (Janet) of Creston; his siblings-in-law, Harry Weis of Des Moines and Kate Weis of Council Bluffs; and his close friends, Jack Quee and Robert Moreland. He is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren.
