With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jim McKnight of Afton, Iowa, born in Roswell, New Mexico, who passed away on December 28, 2021 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mikell McKnight, Jr. and Mary (Pierce); and his siblings-in-law, Bobbie McKnight and Max Tomlinson. He is survived by: his wife Laurie Lee Laney of Afton; his sons, Larry McKnight (Lori) of Polk City and Sam McKnight (Jill) of Afton; his grandchildren, Beth, Noelle, Colton, Savannah and Jamie; and his siblings, Bill McKnight of Breckenridge, TX, Marianne Rankin of Abilene, TX and Polly Tomlinson of Dallas, TX.
Memorials may be made in his name to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation or to the East Union Activity Boosters.
