He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Teresa Ripperger (Frueh) and Michael Joseph Ripperger; his son Randy Ripperger; and his daughters-in-law, Liz Ripperger and Brenda Ripperger.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Ripperger of Creston; his children, Pamela Spicher (Casey) of Nevada, Peggy Ripperger (Wayde Ross) of Orient, Iowa, Tony Ripperger (Cathy) of Red Oak and Monte Ripperger of Des Moines; and his grandchildren, Dustin Olsasky (Sara), Michael Ripperger, Dixie Ripperger, Clint Ripperger (Erika), Ayrin Burns (T. J.), Jennifer Barnes, Megan Austin, Alec Gabel, Trent Eggman (LeAnn), Mandy Rangel-Schrank (Miguel), Alex Spicher (Ashley), Frankie Kruger (Nick), Jeremy Dunahoo, Sean Cooney (Danelle) and Mikki Cooney. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
